Lisburn University of the Third Age (LU3A) represents over 270 Lisburn citizens who are retired (or semi-retired) from full time employment – but who are certainly not retired from life! We organise just under forty different activity groups encompassing all areas of social, physical, educational and artistic endeavour. Many of these activities take place in Laganview Enterprise Centre including Ballroom Dancing, Pilates, Tai Chi, Gardening and Public Speaking. Many of our combined activities also take place here – in particular our monthly meetings when over 100 people are regularly in attendance; our pre-Christmas Get-together, with similar numbers; and our Annual New Year’s Ball. Centre staff are always very attentive and accommodating, and the facilities are clean, warm and inviting. Would we recommend the centre to other groups? Of course we would – as long as they don’t try to pinch one of our time slots! Laganview Enterprise Centre is a sparkling gem in Lisburn City Council’s crown!
