Joanna, or Asia as she is more commonly referred to, originates from Poland. Asia made the move to Northern Ireland in 2005 and joined The Welcome Project in March 2008 as a bi-lingual support worker. In 2011 Asia was promoted to Project Manager. The Welcome Project aims to create a truly inclusive and safe community which welcomes all, regardless of difference. It offers a wide range of advice and practical help to support minority ethnic and migrant workers living in the City of Lisburn. Asia is currently studying for a BA (Honours Degree) in Business Studies with Liverpool John Moore’s University.
