Lynda Vladeanu – Board Advisor

Lynda is a Register General Nurse and a Registered Midwife having worked in both Downpatrick and Lagan Valey Maternity Units.  She also worked as a Midwife in Downpatrick Sure Start.  Lynda has worked in the South Eastern H&SC Trust Health Development since 2005 and prior to this spent five years in Romania managing a Children’s Hospice.  Since joining the Health Development Department she has completed a Post Graduate Diploma and MCS in Health Promotion.  In August 2010 Lynda was appointed Health Development Manager and has been the lead for Health Development from October 2013.  Lynda has gained considerable experience in partnership working to support community development and capacity building.  She is passionate regarding improving the health and wellbeing of those living in the South Eastern are and in reducing health inequalities.

Peggy Kambule

Peggy, a mother of three, is originally from South Africa is now residing in the Old Warren. She is currently working as a Support Worker at The Beeches Residential in Ballynahinch.  There she cares for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. Peggy is currently studying with The Open University to become a qualified Social Worker.

Joanne Casey

Joanne joined LaganView in June 2007 as the newly appointed centre manager. After graduating from Jordanstown with a distinction in her Masters in Communication, Advertising and Public Relations (CAP) Joanne worked for a brief spell as a Learner Support Worker in Banbridge. Following this she began her work with the Social Economy sector as part of an EU Funded project providing IT Support and Consultancy as well as for the private and public sector in Banbridge District Enterprises. Her passion and enthusiasm for this has been a direct result of her appointment to this position.

Denis Paisley

Denis is a regeneration manager for The Resurgam Community Development Trust.  He is a committee member of Old Warren Community Association and his experience and qualifications are all based upon his involvement in community development and community youth work.  Having qualified in UUJ as a Youth and Community Worker he is currently working towards an MSc in Education.  He has experience in community based education and training.  As a voluntary director and committee member Denis is involved in the management of projects within the community, which includes sourcing funding, administration, organisational and budgetary controls. Denis is a director of social enterprises including Lisburn Community Self Build and has a knowledge of community based enterprise.

Patricia McCormick

Patricia, or Trish as she prefers to be called, was recently appointed to the Board in September 2014.

Trish is a mother & grandmother living in the Hilden area for 11 yrs.   For the past 9 yrs she has been involved in the local community group where she holds the position of Chairperson.  She has been actively involved in many  cross community projects & events including a mural dedicated to the history of the Hilden Mill. Trish is a voluntary board member of New Horizons Credit Union where she is also am a teller.  Trish also involved in Lisburn Safe and sits on the NIHE Scrutiny panel for Hilden Hillhall Maze and Old Warren.

Philip Dean

Philip has been involved in community development since 1993 to include projects centred around young men’s training and women’s engagement programmes as part of EU peacebuilding measures.  Philip has also been involved in local politics, holding office of General Secretary of the Ulster Democratic Party, during which he completed leadership training at University of Maryland.  Philip is dedicated to working towards safer communities, holding Chair of the Welcome BME Project in Lisburn and is a member of the newly appointed Lisburn PCSP.

Philip has been a Director of several community based organisations, focusing on disadvantaged areas and has more recently been a driving force in community regeneration through linking social enterprise where he manages community projects and social enterprises.  This has led him to becoming a founding Director of The Resurgam Trust which he chairs and which is aiming to create regeneration within disadvantaged areas of Lisburn and encourage social enterprise.  Current projects include lobbying for resources based upon a social enterprise regeneration model andencouraging a partnership approach with stakeholder agencies including Lisburn PACT (Police & Community Together), SureStart Lisburn and Early Intervention Lisburn.

Adrian Bird

Adrian Bird has been involved in regeneration for the past 20 years and is currently employed as the Director of The Resurgam Community Development Trust.  Adrian holds a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, accredited through the Institute of Leadership and Management.  Adrian has worked for the past 15 years within the social enterprise sector in Lisburn and was a founding member of seven social enterprises, including New Horizons Credit Union Ltd and Lisburn Community Self Build, of which he is still a Director.

During the last 15 years he has successfully managed numerous funding contracts and has an array of skills and experience in organisational change and development, compliance and management.  Adrian sits on the local Lisburn/Castlereagh Peace III Cluster Partnership and currently chairs the Early Intervention Lisburn Steering Board.
