Office One - South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust
Martin is a South Eastern Trust Community Health Development Worker. Martin is based in the centre to work with all groups in the area to improve the health and wellbeing of people in Old Warren. He can support any group in the community such as older people, young people, ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, men's and women's groups. Martin has developed a number of programmes for local people such as weight loss/management, physical activity, stress management and mental health protection. Office Two-LaganView
Joanne Casey, Centre Manager, for LaganView is based here from Monday to Thursday from 8.30am-5.00pm for anyone wishing to make enquiries.
Office Three -The Resurgam Trust
This new community support organisation has been developed with the aim of connecting individuals, groups and transformed communities to creat a sustainable environment in which all are proud to live, learn, play and work. Resurgam will create growth opportunities through support, capacity building and social economy initiatives to sustain regeneration in the Greater Lisburn area through building connections and alliances to positively influence decisions that will affect the communities served by the Trust and its members. Office Four - The Welcome House Project
This project is aimed at supporting migrant workers rights in the Lisburn area. This project is a partnership between Old Warren Partnership, Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities (NICEM) and UNISON. Olga and Asia, the project and support workers welcome all migrant workers who need help, advice or information on all or some for the following areas:
- Free and confidential interpreting
- Advice on local services (education, housing, benefits, leisure etc)
- Signposting to relevant agencies (Healthcare, employment rights etc)
- Opportunity to network with people from different countries and share all your experiences.
The Welcome House is also giving migrant workers the opportunity to enrol for English classes, beauty classes, art classes and parenting courses. Support workers will be there from 9am-5pm every weekday and from 10am -1pm on a Saturday to help you with any issue.
