Workshop One- Lisburn Community Self BuildLisburn Community Self Build is a Limited Company by Guarantee without a Share Capital. The Company operates as a Social Economy business with the main aim of providing employment opportunities, job training and educational services to local people through Lisburn-based construction projects.
The Company was established in December 2000 and has been involved in numerous building projects providing much needed housing for the Lisburn community and has seen scores of young people trained to various levels of skills within the construction sector.
Moving to Laganview Enterprise Centre is an exciting diversification of the Company which has seen the establishment of a training workshop for young people producing wooden-type garden furniture. This is currently on display on the grounds of the centre.
Lisburn Community Self Build was recently recognised with the prestigious Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (2011), one of only 130 organisations to be honoured in the entire UK.

Workshop 3- Lisburn PSP Lisburn South Streets Ahead ProjectLisburn PSP, a community development support organisation, launched this vital new youth project on 1st April 2011. This project is supported through the Big Lottery Fund's Change UR Future programme. The main aim of the project is to increase the personal and social development of marginalised young people in the Lisburn area by improving their health and education, skills and self-esteem.
